Subjects at School

Today:

From Monday to Friday we have a lot of different subjects.

Mostly we have 7 lessons on 1 day. But the older studens have usally 9 lessons.

At our School you can learn: English, Latin, French and Russian. And then we had science - subjects: Geographie, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science. Once a week we have also Art, PE, Music,...
The main - subjects are German, Mathematics and English.

At our parent's school time:
From monday to saturday they had 5 - 6 lessons every day.
They had the same subjects as we, but no computer science. So they had 3 subjects more: civis, projectworking ( there they try working like adults), ESP (its an adoption into politics)

At our granny's school time:
The lesson starts 7.30 am and finished after 5 - 6 lessons. Sometimes they had some lessons at the afternoon. And on Saturday they had 4 - 5 lessons.
They had the same science as we, handwork and no computer science. They could learn russian since the 5. class. English could be learned as a voluntary subject in the afternoon.

Today:
About 100 Computer can be used by the students. And for the Languages we have a special room, where you can talk with headsets.

For science we have special rooms too. They are practical for experiments.
When we have PE, we go in one of the two gyms, we have. For the music lesson we have two rooms with keyboards, guitars, drums and more.
Two rooms with extra big washbowls are for art.

One of the two art-rooms.

At our parent's school time:
They had special chemical - and physic rooms. Music was in the foyer with a piano and drums.

At our granny's school time:
They had only their class room and no special rooms for science. They had a gym. Music was in the foyer too, but they had only a piano.

At Break

Today:
At Break you can do what you want:
Eat something in the cafeteria or from your lunchbox, go to the toilet, meet friends from other classes ...

And our Schoolyard is very beautiful too, Look! :
Steffi and Nadine have fun ...

Our Schoolyard

At our parent's time:
The Break was like today. And they must wear slippers
and the school's nickname was: the "slipper - school" ;D

At our granny's time:
They get only a bap and then they went at the schoolyard or in the foyer.

About your timetable, we are really surprised because here, in our high school, we start lessons at 8.30h every morning.
